Reasons to stay
It works, your people know it, the data is clean enough, and your reporting pain is fixable outside the ERP. Replacing a working general ledger is expensive, disruptive, and often solves a problem that was never the ledger.
Reasons to move
Real multi-entity consolidation, dimensional reporting you cannot fake with exports, or an install so customised that nobody can safely upgrade it. Those are structural, and automation will not fix them.
The middle path, usually best
Keep Sage 300. Automate what feeds it, move reporting off it, and stop paying people to type. Most of the pain attributed to Sage 300 is actually manual process around it.
